Initial Blog (#0) - Introduction
Hi! My name is Amber Romance. I am a freshman this year and I will be studying Elementary Education as my major with the intentions of getting a minor in Environmental Science. I grew up in Marathon, FL, which is a part of The Keys. Some of my hobbies and passions include musical theater, environmental sustainability, and working with kids. In the past, I haven't used very fancy education technology in the classroom. Through all of my schooling, there were smart boards in the classroom, laptop carts, and maybe the occasional iPad cart of the teacher was lucky. In all honesty, most of my teachers stuck with using the smart boards for their lessons and didn't really bring new technology into the classroom. That being said, I also went to a public school, so there was not a lot of extra funding around to buy new educational technology to add to the classrooms.
